Past Month.

TBQ Celebration Night.

Teen Bible Quiz Celebration Night was held on May 2. This is the second year the Teen Bible Quiz Night has been held at our church. The teens have a class every week, and in one school year they memorize about 200 Bible verses by heart or answers to vital questions that will be very beneficial and help them in the future. At the end of the school year there is a quiz to test their knowledge and they compete against each other for cash prizes and medals as well as all participants receive certificates. This is a very important aspect in the life of a teenager, even if they do not fully understand it now, but knowledge of God’s Word will bring results in time. We really ask for your prayer support for the leaders and volunteers and this ministry, encourage your teens to treat it as a important activity. It is good fellowship with each other, new friendships, and the Bible study.

Ladies Conference

“Heart to Heart” Women’s Ministry brought together over 200 sisters of all ages for a “Don’t Be Afraid, Just Believe” conference on May 5-6.
Personal stories of hope and trust in God in different circumstances formed the basis of the conference. Galina Terzi spoke about healing of soul and body. Olga Prok testified about her husband’s recovery from addiction. Vera Martinova shared her experience of praying for her children and relatives.
Natalia Kovalenko told the story of the healing of her daughter, based on the biblical fact of the resurrection of Jairus’ daughter. The speaker emphasized that hardships harden our faith and teach us to trust in God, not people. “When people say ‘it’s over,’ how important it is to have a word from God, ‘Don’t be afraid, just believe!” – Natalia stated.
The sisters worshipped the Lord, fellowshipping and praying for each other. In the atmosphere of God’s presence mountains of problems melted away, and faith in God, for whom nothing is impossible, was strengthened.

On May 16, in his 56th year, our brother, church member, son, father, grandfather, and very good Christian left us. He was always cheerful and responsive to good deeds, going on mission trips to Mexico, Africa, and the Ukraine. Ivan was part of the Power of the Cross ministry, he was preparing for the sanctification service that was held on May 19, but God alone knows our ways and a measure for everyone. The news of his passing shook many, we are hurt, but we know he is with the Lord, where we will see him again. We grieve and remember, and ask you not to forget about the family, pray for them, may the Lord comfort them during this difficult time in their lives. See you in Heaven brother Ivan.

Sanctification Service.

The annual Sanctification Service was held at the church from May 19-21. Brother Victor Kashubin and his Power of the Cross team served for three days with sermons, general and individual prayers for deliverance, healing, spiritual renewal, and baptism with the Holy Spirit. On Saturday afternoon individual services were held, and 20 rooms were used for confession and prayer of deliverance, over 120 people were served individually. Many people received deliverance and healing, thank God for this opportunity and His grace shown to us. Please pray for the entire Power of the Cross team as they traveled from different states at their own expense, leaving their jobs and families to serve you. Bless them in your prayers and financially if you are able. May God bless you.

Widows Fellowship.

Widows of Bread of Life Church learned to give thanks in spite of everything at the fellowship on May 27. Brothers and sisters shared their experiences of passing through the valleys with praise on their lips.

The theme of gratitude became central in testimonies, songs, and reflections. Pastor Mykola Illyuk blessed all who pass through difficult circumstances. Mikhail and Nadezhda Shvets, Tatyana Terzi, and others shared their stories of how God came to answer in their loneliness and longing. Svetlana Kucherenko voiced scientific facts about how gratitude changes the human brain. Everyone received gratitude diaries as a gift with the recommendation to fill them out weekly and see how their hearts and circumstances would change.

The service ended with a fervent prayer in which the Heavenly Father encouraged His daughters and sons with a prophetic word.
